As we emerge from an unusual Christmas and step straight into a national lockdown this kind of image might be far from your mind.

So much wonderful creativity and energy went into 2020 and Christmas in particular that it may be difficult to imagine how we are to engage with families and encourage them in their relationships with God.

This is actually a perfect time to SURF – to recognise that our ministry in these days will be:

Small – in numbers
Unseen – by many people
Relational – involve support for individuals
Focused – no one can do everything, but everyone can do something

It’s the kind of mustard seed ministry which Jesus spoke of where small things really do make a big difference to people and help to build the kingdom of God. We all witnessed this through 2020 and have that learning and experience to draw on, so I encourage you to catch a wave and SURF your way through this time.

Take care of yourselves so that you can take care of others.

Every blessing for all you are and in all you do.
