Are you doing your part as the household of God?

Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that, if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
(1 Timothy 3:14-end)

The above passage is the reasons for Paul’s Instructions. It speaks of respecting the Church as the house of God, every church building and the children of God are the household of God, basically everything that you can touch, smell, see and hear is part of the household of God.

During this time of Covid-19 and the lock down that has been imposed by many governments around the world to try and ease the spread of the virus, we as Christians (Anglicans, Catholic etc) regardless of which tradition of the faith we follow, must be good examples of the household of God.

If we are able to we should assist those who are isolating for any reason, we must do our Christian duty and support those in need (while keeping yourself safe, wear face covering, washing hands or wearing gloves, etc).

Even if all you can do say prayers for those affect by Covid-19 then you as a conscientious children of God are doing your part.

Let us know what you are doing as a member of the household of God
